For Students: Services and Personnel Update
Trinity CommunicationsNovember 04, 2019
We wanted you to know about a few key developments regarding services and personnel:
First, a couple staff members will be taking on more substantial Student Life responsibilities. Beginning on November 4, Beth Long and Rachel Gowland will no longer be staffing the desk at Trinity Central but will be joining the efforts for Student Engagement. Beth will now coordinate Student Engagement and Formation, and Rachel will coordinate the Intercultural Development Office. They will be located in Lower Waybright with the rest of the Student Life team. We hope you will welcome Beth and Rachel and take advantage of the opportunities available as a result of this move. Their last day as part of Trinity Central will be Thursday, October 31. The space formerly occupied by Trinity Central will be closed Friday November 1, and will reopen Monday, November 4, but with Academic Records only operating in it.
We will continue rethinking the location and services that were known as Trinity Central.
Re-Location and Point Personnel for Functions:
Academic Records is now aligned with the Deans Offices, but will remain in the Petersen Wing of the McLennen Academic Building. They can be reached at [email protected] or 847-317-8050*.
The Compass Office has been relocated to Lower Peterson (on the floor below where Trinity Central was located).
Financial Aid and Student Accounts will be relocating to the ATO building in the office adjacent to the Chapel from their current space in the Peterson Annex. This will be effective Monday, November 4. The various functions in this office will include the following (a contact for each function is listed):

As a reminder, myTIU can provide faculty and students with the following self-service features, and the team will refer you to these:
Additionally, many of the forms that previously resided on myTIU under Trinity Central will be relocated to: Campus Services > Financial Aid, and Campus Services > Student Accounting
-Will Financial Services team provide all the same services as Trinity Central?
We will provide information/assistance on student course/fee statement, student rent, financial aid, payroll, and university business accounting (i.e., Accounts Payable) will be the focus of Financial Services. In this time of transition we encourage you to use the department emails above. Walk-in accessibility will be limited in the next two weeks due to these department transitions.
-Will any services change from Trinity Central to Financial Services?
We will no longer cash checks or provide cash disbursements off student accounts. We will only be able to disburse funds via check. Student and staff IDs, parking permits, and lost & found will now be managed by the Student Life team.
– What will happen to the [email protected] email address?
[email protected] Effective Monday, November 4, the email will no longer be used. There will be an automatic message instructing where to now find information on services formally provided by Trinity Central.
There are many more questions that cannot be answered in one communication. Please direct any specific questions to the appropriate department emails above.
