For Staff: Relocations and Point Personnel for Functions
Trinity CommunicationsOctober 27, 2019
In response to our recent flex in staffing, a few support functions have become leaner and call for further reorganization. Our goal remains providing the highest value services while simplifying and—in some cases—eliminating services to focus on those integral elements.
Relocations and Point Personnel for Functions:
Effective November 4, Financial Aid and Student Accounts will be relocating to the ATO building in the office adjacent to the Chapel from their current space in the Peterson Annex. In conjunction with this move we will close Trinity Central and return to a decentralized format while we rethink the one-stop concept in light of students’ current needs and available resources.
The various functions in this office will include (a contact for each function is listed):
- Accounts Payable (Sandy Merwin x7189)
- Financial Aid (Carrie Fakhoury x4040)
- Human Resources (Linda Brundidge x 7138)
- Student Accounting (Jerry Ruscitti x8020)
- Payroll (Joe Cruz x7021)
One of the outcomes of this transition will be the decoupling of Student Financial Services from Academic Records and the Registrar. The Registrar now reports to Deans Cole and Hedges in alignment with the academic units. Academic Records will be staying in the space formerly occupied by Trinity Central, and it is also refocusing on essential and high-value services (we expect some service changes as they refine these ideas with the deans’ offices).
A more detailed FAQ will be provided to students, but note a few changes that affect faculty and staff:
- Trinity no longer cashes personal checks.
- University IDs are managed by Student Life.
- Parking Permits are managed by Security (Faculty/Staff link).
