Limited slots are still available for summer volleyball and basketball camps at Trinity International University.
The university offers camps for young players (6-14 years old) and players of high school age (14-18). All camps meet in TIU’s Van Dixhorn Arena, and meals are provided in the Hawkins Dining Hall, where TIU students eat on campus.
The youth volleyball camp for boys and girls (ages 6-14) is June 9-12; the high school camp, for girls between the ages of 14-18 is July 10-12, and it includes an option for overnight stays.
Participants will acquire top-notch volleyball skills, and will be encouraged to develop positive character traits for everyday life. The goal, according to TIU volleyball head coach Luke Ward, is to see campers emerge as leaders, with confidence, integrity and enthusiasm that leads to success on and off the court.
“We’re always excited about our summer volleyball camps,” Ward said. “We prioritize training as we break down each skill to accommodate the athlete. The focus will be on each camper learning how to improve as a player, as a teammate and as a leader. The summer camp staff cares about the athlete and wants to see them grow.”
In addition to Ward, TIU assistant volleyball coach Becky Eller and graduate assistant Hannah Marshall conduct the camps.
Costs for the three-day youth volleyball camp are $235 for commuters and $285 for those who stay overnight; the camp costs for high school players are $215 for commuters and $265 for those who stay overnight. The fees include individual and team instruction, leadership training exercises, lunch each day, a camp T-shirt, and free season passes to all TIU home volleyball matches.

Day camps for boys and girls between the ages of 7-14 are set for June 17-21 and June 24-28. Players may sign up for consecutive weeks.
A second camp for boys (ages 10-16) is set for July 14-19 and includes an overnight stay option. This camp serves students of the game who are serious about becoming impactful players.
TIU basketball coaches conduct all camps and provide repetition of fundamentals such as layups, shooting, passing and ball handling. Players will participate in skill development drills and competitions and enjoy some five-on-five games.
Day camps cost $285 and are limited to an enrollment of 150 players per week. Additional siblings receive a $25 discount. Last year, both sessions sold out.
The July overnight camp cost is $575, with a $75 sibling discount.
Fees include instruction, meals, housing (when applicable), T-shirt, camp photo, and TIU home basketball season passes.
