Dear Trinity Community,
Due to forecasts of dangerously low temperatures for Wednesday and Thursday morning, Trinity’s Deerfield and Dolton campuses will be closed (classes cancelled and offices closed) Wednesday, January 30, until noon on Thursday, January 31. This evening’s classes (January 29) will meet as scheduled.
Classes scheduled at or after noon (12 p.m.) on Thursday, January 31, will meet, and offices will open.
Rolfing Library will follow the campus closing schedule. The library will close at 10 p.m. Tuesday and reopen with the campus opening on Thursday at noon. Please check the library website for updates: library.tiu.edu/hours.
The Campus Post Office will also be closed for the entire day on Wednesday, but will open for regular hours on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. –4:30 p.m.
Dining Services will maintain the following schedule for both days:
- Lunch — normal hours, 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
- Dinner — will be served from 5 p.m.–6:30 p.m.
- Rodine will be closed for both days.
- Fresh will be closed for the day on Wednesday, with plans to be open for Late Night, 6:30–10 p.m. It plans to open for lunch on Thursday.
Campus residents should contact the Security Office (847.317.6400) with any concerns, and especially if there are any heating issues needing attention. Facilities Services will then be contacted immediately. Please take every precaution to remain safe and warm during the next few days.
