Trinity Athletics has announced the hire of Greg Gorham as the new director of sports information and promotions. Gorham brings experience in athletic media relations as a graduate assistant and director of athletic media relations at the University of Central Missouri and Southwest Baptist University, respectively. He also has experience as a datacaster for the Springfield Cardinals.
TIU Director of Athletics Dr. Tony Ladd expressed enthusiasm at Gorham’s hire, who will serve as Trinity’s first full-time sports information director. “Greg holds excellent qualities to serve in this vital role for the University,” Ladd said. “His strengths go far beyond the statistical base needed to operate effectively. Gorham will be able to enhance the Trojans web presence as well as oversee live streaming of all sports at the University.”
Gorham said his experience at the University of Central Missouri taught him what it takes to help student-athletes earn the recognition they have earned on and off the field.
“I believe that a university’s athletic department is a great way to promote not just the athletic achievements, but the achievements of the school as a whole,” Gorham said.
Gorham has received a master of science in kinesiology with a concentration in sports management from the University of Central Missouri and a bachelor of science in sports management from Southwest Baptist University. He and his wife, Sarah, will be moving to the Chicago area in time for him to begin working in his new role on July 1.
