Trinity International University is pleased to announce the full time appointment of Martha Lim Shin as assistant professor of business. Professor Shin currently serves as a part-time faculty member, teaching accounting in the Trinity College Business Department. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, and a Master’s in Accounting Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Shin also practiced as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Professor Shin brings 18 years of business experience in the private sector to her new role at Trinity. Most recently, she was at the Wrigley Company, a subsidiary of Mars, Inc. Her corporate experience also includes work with PepsiCo and KPMG, LLC.
Also an entrepreneur, Shin co-founded and served as executive director of MissionLink International, a group that mobilized Christian professionals to channel resources of U.S. corporations to the mission field and developing countries. She has participated in missions trip to China, Hungary, Romania, and the Dominican Republic.
On a personal level, Shin enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, ages 8 and 6, as well as with their extended families. She is active in New Community Church, Chicago campus, where she has served in various roles including that of campus treasurer and Bible study leader.
