This spring Senior Campaign (previously called Senior Challenge) returns to campus! Senior Campaign is a student-led and student-centered stewardship campaign intended to raise awareness on the significance of the Trinity Fund and to encourage seniors to begin a tradition of investing in Trinity students through the Trinity Fund. Senior Campaign is a united effort in which seniors “pass it along” by making a contribution to the Trinity Fund in order to help students, who might not otherwise be able to, come to Trinity.
A team of seniors plan and implement Senior Campaign. Members of the 2013 Senior Campaign Committee include: Angel Arnold, David Howington, Josh Wheeler, Samantha Willer, and Tim Mrowiec.
“I joined the Senior Campaign Committee because I have been impacted by people’s generosity my entire life. Not only am I able to be at Trinity because of it, but growing up in a single-parent home allowed me to be on the receiving end of generous people’s gifts. I want to promote the same kind of giving that has blessed me my entire life,” said Samantha Willer.
The goal of Senior Campaign is for all seniors to celebrate their time at Trinity by beginning a tradition of investing in Trinity students through the Trinity Fund. The committee plans to achieve this by promoting the campaign through word of mouth, one-on-one conversations, and classroom announcements.
“I am choosing to invest in students through the Trinity Fundy because my time at TIU was a pivotal time of my own personal and spiritual growth, and I would like for other students to experience the same,” said David Howington.
You may be thinking, what is the Trinity Fund? The Trinity Fund is Trinity’s top fundraising priority each and every year. It helps underwrite the more than $12 million in need-based and merit-based scholarships that Trinity disburses each year. Tuition is only about 60% of what it costs to educate Trinity students. The Trinity Fund helps each and every student to have the full Trinity experience without paying the full price for it.
