Homecoming & Family Weekend 2012
Homecoming and Family Weekend 2012 is just around the corner! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to visit with former classmates and professors. The weekend also gives you the chance to spend time laughing with family and loved ones while enjoying the fall colors and rooting on the Trojans.
The festivities get started on Thursday, September 20, with the Homecoming Pep Rally and Coronation in the Meyer Sports Complex at 9:45 p.m. The following night, the Homecoming Dance, complete with a super-heroes theme, will start moving in the tent by the football field from 8:00–11:00 p.m. Tickets for the dance are $5 if purchased in advance (see “Homecoming Dance” on the myTIU calendar) or $7 at the door.
Also on Friday night a reception for Dr. David Hesselgrave, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School professor emeritus of mission, will take place at the Chicago/O’Hare Marriott Hotel during the North American Mission Leaders Conference.
The events on Saturday will start with a 5K Run/3K Walk that begins at the patio of the Waybright Center at 8:15 a.m. Afterwards, be sure to head down to the sports fields for the Homecoming Cookout starting at 11:00 a.m. and to experience the fun of seeing familiar faces, prizes, and more large inflatables than ever before! Stick around as well to cheer on the Trojans as they compete in multiple fall sports.
Homecoming and Family Weekend 2012 will wrap up on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. with a Powder Puff football game at the sports fields.
